This is No.4 in the Hear the Drums series with co-hosts Daril Valeris and Karelia Despaigne and guest instructor Ania Rojas Blanco. The is an hour-long session broadcast live on Dec 12, 2020.

Oshun is a goddess of the Yoruba mythology who is know as the queen of the sweet waters (streams, springs and rivers.) She is the goddess of love and fertility who generally dances with sensual movements. Her followers offer her sunflowers.

Karelia

Karelia studied at EVA José María Heredia and graduated from the Professional Dance Academy with advanced training in dance instruction, performance, and choreography. By twenty-one, she was a soloist with the professional dance company, Folklorico Oriente. She went on to become a principle dancer with Sabor DKY and then founded Tierra Kaliente in 2016. Karelia continues to tour and teach internationally, having taught in 23 different countries.
