Professional Dancer & Choreographer
Karelia Despaigne studied at EVA José María Heredia and graduated from the Professional Dance Academy with advanced training in dance instruction, performance, and choreography. By twenty-one, she was a soloist with the professional dance company, Folklorico Oriente. She went on to become a principle dancer with Sabor DKY until she founded Tierra Kaliente in 2016. Karelia continues to tour and teach internationally, having taught in 23 different countries.
Visual Artist and Professor
Sculptor, painter, engraver, graphic designer and Visual Arts professor, Pedro Pulido graduated from the University of Arts and the National Academy of Plastic Arts San Alejandro, where he currently directs as the chair of Sculpture. He has participated in various exhibitions, workshops and conferences internationally and his work is part of the permanent collection of Sculpture and Graphic Design of the National Museum of Fine Arts, as well as other prestigious collections in Australia, Italy, USA, etc. He also sponsors the Community Project “Cintio Vitier”.
Dance & Wellness
En 2012 egresa de la Escuela Nacional Preparatoria Plantel 2.
Tras cursar Iniciación Universitaria y el bachillerato en el área de Artes y Humanidades,
ingresa a la Lic. en Literatura Dramática y Teatro de la UNAM.
Posteriormente ingresa a la Lic. en Danza opción multidisciplinar
en la Academia de la Danza Mexicana, INBA.
